Mr. Coomes was born December 13, 1966 in Verdun, France. He conducted his undergraduate studies in mathematics and economics at the Universtiy of Florida (B.S., 1989), where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He subsequently attended Florida State University, where he earned his J.D. summa cum laude in 1996. At Florida State University, Mr. Coomes was Order of the Coif and a member and associate editor of the Florida State University Law Review (1994 - 1996). Mr. Coomes is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia, as well as the General Practice and Trial Section, and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Coomes has practiced law since 1996, his practice areas focusing primarily on complex commercial and real estate litigation, frequently involving class action litigation. Mr. Coomes also has experience with products liability litigation, deceptive trade practice litigation and employment related litigation, including covenants not to compete.
